Xuyong Smart Manufacturing has begun work with an adhesives and new-materials producer in Zhejiang. The project covers end-to-end digital management of hot-melt blocks, sticks and pellets, using automation upgrades, an integrated software platform and revised management practices to make production transparent, data collaborative and business decisions visible.
Working through the existing production flow, we automated powder charging, reaction, finished-goods packing and warehouse movement, brought reactors, agitators and the tank farm under centralised PLC control, and networked the packaging line so equipment data is captured and monitored in real time.
Production, warehousing and quality data had been scattered. We deployed an integrated platform — PDM for R&D management, MES for manufacturing execution, WMS for warehousing and QMS for quality — and integrated it deeply with the customer’s existing ERP. Orders, plans, production, quality, inventory, equipment and energy data now move between systems, making production more transparent and safer, closing the business loop, and giving management reliable, accurate and consistent operating data. Manual intervention on the line drops, labour costs fall and margins improve.
The project introduced intelligent scheduling that combines order demand, capacity and equipment status, and automatically compiles progress, output, quality and energy indicators. Manual reporting shrinks and production decisions follow the data.
Once the upgrade is complete, production rhythm becomes far more controllable. In adhesives in particular — where formulation, temperature, reaction and batch stability all matter — digitalisation cuts the uncertainty that manual operation introduces and keeps quality steady batch after batch.
As competition intensifies, competitiveness depends less on sheer capacity and more on production management, data collaboration and speed of decision-making. Xuyong will continue to work in manufacturing digital transformation, offering integrated solutions from equipment upgrades to platform construction.
